Dr. Mohamad Arnaout

Mohamad Arnaout received his M.S. in Electrical and Electronics from the Lebanese University, Beirut, Lebanon, in 2007, his M.E. in Microelectronics and Electrical Engineering from Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France, in 2008, and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France, in 2011. In 2011, Dr. Arnaout was a postdoctoral researcher with CNES and ONERA laboratories, Toulouse, France. From 2014 to 2018, he was an assistant professor and associate chair with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of the Lebanese International University, Beirut, Lebanon. Since October 2018, he has been an associate professor and chairperson of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of the International University of Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon. Dr. Arnaout is an IEEE member in dielectric and power societies since 2013 and actually he is the Vice Chair of the IEEE – Lebanon Joint Chapter, IE13/PE31/CAS04/PEL35. His research interests include the electrostatic discharge, fault analysis, development of electric power system tools, and electric vehicles. Dr. Arnaout received the award of the best Ph.D. thesis from GEET Toulouse and the Novela award from Toulouse municipality in 2011 and 2012, respectively.
