Dear Esteemed Deans, Faculty Members and Innovative Students,

We are delighted to announce the launch of the L.I.R.A Innovation Program 2024, a pioneering initiative by IRALEB to support early-phase innovation for academic researchers and talented students. It focuses on applied research projects with real-world industrial applications and groundbreaking ideas across the sectors of agrifood, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, ICT, and creative industries.

With a legacy of over 25 years, this program aims to foster innovation, collaboration, and the development of impactful projects with the potential of transforming ideas into commercially viable products and industrial solutions.

In the context of “Lebanon Innovate” funded by the European Union, we have incorporated to our competition entrepreneurship components, supported by both Lebanese and European partners. By participating in the LIRA program, you have the chance to receive financial support, capacity-building training, acceleration, incubation, access to EU networks, and matchmaking opportunities with international partners.

IRALEB is offering two distinct tracks to cater to your specific project goals.

Track 1 targeting Commercially Viable Innovations is funded under Lebanon Innovate with a financial support of €50,000 allocated for 5 to 7 innovators engaged in the creation of innovative startups or spinoffs.

Track 2 is dedicated to Industrial Innovative Challenges developed in partnership with Industrialists. IRALEB will be co-funding along, with an additional support from your industrial partner, €15,000 for three high-caliber projects. These projects involve collaborations with industrialists to address innovative challenges, focusing on enhancing existing products, upgrading production lines, or developing entirely new production lines.

Iraleb offers also Opportunities for Industrial Partnerships. If you are seeking a Lebanese industrial partner, IRALEB will facilitate connections with industrialists, fostering collaborative solutions to significant challenges. To initiate this process, you simply need to fill out the call for interest to partner with an industrialist.

If you are interested in taking part in this exciting journey, we invite you to submit your application through our online portal from Feb 10 to the deadline on February 29, 2024.
