Dr Bassil graduated from Jacobs University Bremen in 2008 and joined University of Balamand in 2014 as Assistant Professor of Chemistry. In 2017, he was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor, and later received the title of Adjunct Professor at his parent university Jacobs University in 2020. His research portfolio includes more than 90 research publications and 3 patents. His field of expertise includes synthetic and applied inorganic chemistry and characterization techniques, particularly in the area of X-ray diffraction and crystallography.
